This project consisted of the replacement of the Sisters Creek bascule bridge with a high level fixed bridge. The new high-level bridge spans over 3000’ in length with a channel height of 65’. The project utilized concrete girder spans with continuous center spans made to minimize ship impacts on live loads. This project also included extensive environmental and archeological protection requirements including salt marsh, wetlands, endangered species and an Indian shell midden. VIA was a subconsultant to HNTB on this project
